After ten glorious years at 42 Hoxton Square, KK Outlet is saying goodbye to Shoreditch and hello to a new location, but not before going out with a bang. Throughout January we’ll be celebrating with an exhibition, All Our Friends, featuring all of our friends who have exhibited or worked with us over the last ten years. There’ll also be a host of special events culminating in the show’s closing party on 31st January.
KK Outlet opened in 2008 as the London office of KesselsKramer. The plan was to bring together the three passions of the company; art, publishing and communications. Since 2008 the gallery space has hosted a different exhibition every month supporting young, emerging artists, photographers and designers and giving exhibition space over to more established names. Over the last ten years we’ve hosted exhibitions from the likes of Mr Bingo, Anthony Burrill, Ewen Spencer, Lakwena Maciver, Fred Butler, Colophon, Campbell Addy, Francesca Allen, Maisie Cousins, Emily Forgot, Laura Callaghan, Von, Hattie Stewart, Anna Lomax, Nous Vous, HORT, Mike Perry, Nick Ballon, Wilfrid Wood, Giles Duley, Trevor Jackson, Jane Stockdale, Noma Bar, Yuri Suzuki and many, many more.
The physical space at 42 Hoxton Square also became home to a bookshop housing rare and hard to find books alongside the ever-growing collection of weird and obscure photography books curated and published by head honcho Erik Kessels. We’ve launched many a book and magazine in our roster of events including LAW, Season Zine, It’s Nice That, Riposte, mono kultur, Weapons of Reason, Courier, Gratuitous Type, Accent, The Gourmand and Wallpaper.
