Czech artist collective Ztohoven comes to London’s Red Gallery on Friday 26th January 2018 to present one of their latest project – Parallel Polis (institute Of Cryptoanarchy).
Ztohoven explores the connection between the arts, science and technology as a tool to highlight the authoritarian tendencies which entered into our daily lives. The main topics of their research and education program are digital freedom, decentralisation, new technologies and cryptocurrencies.
The Ztohoven name is itself a Czech-language pun, and can be read either as Z toho ven (“The way out”), or Sto Hoven (“One hundred shits”). The group translates the name into English as “Out of shit”.
Ztohoven’s ‘Bitcoin Is Retro’ event at Red Gallery will will include lectures by ethical hackers Pavol Luptak and Juraj Bednar and the Paralelni Polis project itself will be presented by Martin Leskovjan. Each lecture will include Q&A.
It’s a FREE event to get in, but you can reserve your seat.
