I remember listening to the reports coming out of West London last summer with disbelief and mounting dismay. Then on the morning of the 21st June 2017 I got the tube to Notting Hill Gate and walked up Kensington Park Road in the direction of Notting Dale. Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw there. It was a sunny London day, with barely a cloud in the sky. But it felt cold, there. Traumatised. The memory is still strong. It always will be.
This zine and photographic installation are based on the pictures I took that morning. All profits from sale’s of zines and photos will be donated to a suitable charity. Karen McCarthy Woolf will be reading some poetry as well.
