Building on the success of the Short Story Hour at Brainchild Festival, we’re very excited to present THOUSAND: An Anthology of Very Short Fiction.
Made up of stories of 1,000 words or fewer from some of the most talented new writers around us, this collection of innovative fiction takes us from modern Melbourne to medieval France by way of Hornsea beach and the American Deep South.
Originally intended as a zine, THOUSAND has become the first book we’ve ever published (!!). It also features ten illustrations from brilliant artists including Gaurab Thakali, Alice Bloomfield and Andrew Werdna, and a cover design by our favourite producer + DJ come graphic designer Hector Plimmer.
So join us for our Launch Night on the 1st March, hosted by Brainchild literary curator, writer and activist Bridget Minamore. There’ll be readings from the anthology, a cheap bar, great tunes and you can get your hands on a copy of the book at a specila price. And it’s FREE to come! We hope we’ll see you there.
